The Joy of Giving

Hey, Amazing Friends!

Welcome back to our Kids Investment Club blog! Today, we’re going to talk about something super special: the joy of giving! Have you ever noticed how great it feels to share with others? Well, we’ll see how the Bible teaches us about this in a cool verse today! What Does Luke 6:38 Say?

In the Bible, there’s a verse that says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Let’s break that down!

1. Give and Receive: - This verse tells us that when we give to others, we often receive good things in return. It’s like a magical cycle of kindness! When you share your toys, snacks, or time, you might find that others want to share with you too!

2. Good Measure: - When it says “a good measure,” think about a big bowl of yummy ice cream. If you fill it up and pack it down, you get more! The same goes for giving—when we give generously from our hearts, we often get back even more love and happiness!

Why is Giving Important?

Giving isn’t just about sharing things; it’s also about spreading joy and kindness! Here are a few reasons why giving matters: - Builds Friendships: Sharing helps us connect with others, and it can lead to new friendships. - Makes You Happy: Studies show that giving to others boosts our own happiness! It feels good to know you’ve made someone else smile.

- Creates a Caring Community: When everyone helps one another, we all become stronger and happier!

Fun Activity: The Giving Challenge!

Let’s put a plan into action to celebrate the joy of giving! You Need: - A piece of paper - Markers or crayons - A jar or container

How to Do It: 1. Create a Giving Jar: Decorate a jar that will be your “Giving Jar.” Add stickers or whatever makes it fun and colorful!

2. List Ideas: Write down different ways you can give to others on pieces of paper. These could include: - Sharing your toys with siblings or friends. - Helping a neighbor with chores. - Donating some of your allowance to a charity. - Writing nice notes to classmates.

3. The Challenge: For a week, try to complete as many giving ideas as you can! Each time you give, put a little piece of paper in the jar to celebrate your act of kindness. Sharing is Caring!

After your week of giving, gather your family or friends and share what you did. Talk about how it felt to give to others. Celebrate how sharing can fill our hearts with joy!

Remember!

Luke 6:38 teaches us that giving is not just about money; it’s about what we share from our hearts. Whether it’s time, kindness, or things we own, sharing can lead to wonderful blessings and happiness.

So, the next time you have something to share, remember the joy of giving! It helps you grow, builds relationships, and makes the world a better place. You're all incredible Money Givers!
